westfocusWest Focus Sustainable Procurement Event

WestFocus is a consortium of seven universities, based in South and West London, and the Thames Valley, that work in partnership between higher education, community groups and small and medium sized businesses. Westfocus will help business to address issues that face them or their organisation. Through WestFocus' various Knowledge Networks and Business Units, and a host of other supporting activities, WestFocus encourages the exchange of knowledge and skills across the UK.

Sustainable Business Practices for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)

 

The Sustainability in Practice Network engages in activities and awareness raising with respect to sustainable development amongst SMEs in the WestFocus region. This is done via specific project work, driven by our academics in partnership with similarly-minded external organisations.

 

Following the work of Dr Ros Taylor and Dr. Simon Bray, Kingston University linked up with Surrey Chambers of Commerce to create the Surrey Sustainable Business Partnership SSBP. The SSBP mainly provides environmental advice to small and medium enterprises based in Surrey.

Dorrich House Group

Dorich House Group is an established network of seven European Univerisities: Kingston University, Istanbul Bilgi University, Mykolas Romeris University, Carl von Ossietzky University, Lyon University – Jean Moulin, Universite Lumiere Lyon 2 and Cadiz University. Kingston is in the preliminary stages of a series of workshops with the Group in order to explore research funding possibilities.
