Sustainability is a focus point for a wide range of research and consultancy initiatives at Kingston University. Design, surveying, architecture, engineering and environmental sciences are disciplines with a particularly strong sustainability orientated research activity. Ongoing projects focus on a diverse range of topics which include waste, transport lifestyle and behaviour change, to name a few. |
Building on the existing strengths, the Sustainability Hub aims to:
- promote all sustainability orientated research activities at Kingston University and support new initiatives underpinned by the principles of sustainability
- create a database of expertise that brings together sustainability knowledge from across the disciplines
- facilitate further development of sustainability focused research projects by encouraging inter-disciplinary, cross-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary collaboration
- forge links with industry, higher education establishments and government institutions that will create further research, collaboration and development opportunities
