Cycling
Cycling for freedom, good health and vitality. Cycling is green and also a good way to increase the amount of exercise that you do. Just 30 minutes cycling at a moderate speed can burn over 200 calories!
KU BUG: The Bicycle Users Group (BUG) is a network for Kingston University staff and students who use a bicycle or are thinking about using a bicycle for their commute or business travel. The network is currently chaired by the University Sustainability Coordinator who works on sustainable travel related issues and aims to support staff and students currently choosing to cycle to KU. The BUG members receive monthly updates, news, event information and handy cycle hints from the BUG Chair via email. On occasions the BUG members will receive important email notices from the University or Royal Borough Kingston council via the BUG Chair, e.g. to notify KU cyclists of changes to KU cycle facilities. The BUG members will not be subject to spam mail and their contact details will not be passed to any other parties. BUG members have the opportunity to attend a meeting called by the BUG Chair once per semester to explore issues surrounding cycling to, from, between and around the KU estate.
For more info, email the Sustainability Hub.
