Accounting and Finance BA(Hons): Professional recognition
Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
We work with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) to ensure that this degree reflects up-to-the-minute industry thinking and provides the training employers demand.
CIMA and ACCA are leading professional membership bodies that uphold high ethical and professional standards to maintain public confidence in accountancy.
Both organisations accredit the course, providing exemption to some of their foundation exams. At the time of writing, these exemptions were in the process of being confirmed.
Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales exam exemptions
Kingston University is a official learning partner with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), which allows graduates of this course to apply for credit exempting them from taking some of the new ICAEW professional exam papers.
Typical training costs are around £900 so these exemptions will offer significant cost savings to both you as a Kingston graduate and your future employer.
Andrea Dunhill, principal lecturer in accounting and finance at Kingston, said: "This achievement reflects the quality of our students, the syllabus and our teaching on the accounting and finance degree."
