Aerospace Engineering (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) Foundation Degree (FdEng): What our students say

Student profiles

Don't just take our word for it – here's what students say about what it's like to study at Kingston University.

Name: Anna Davanzo
Course: Aerospace Engineering (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) FdEng

"I attended an open day at AeroAcademy whilst applying for university and I thought the course sounded like something I could see myself really enjoying. The AeroAcademy degree is heavily linked to industry, which is a great plus point for the course whilst having university accreditation. Marshall is a very well known and highly respected company within the aerospace industry, it is widely known that Marshall designed and delivered training programmes are of the highest quality.

Study at AeroAcademy provided essential hand skills delivered in the well equipped training workshop, a great understanding of a range of aerospace and engineering topics along with the confidence to speak to people in industry as well as making friends for life.

I am currently an aerospace design engineer working within a special missions project at Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group. The work I do is varied and interesting and allows me to continue to develop my skills.

The course gave me a great basis for starting my career as an aerospace engineer. I felt confident in the three interviews that I attended – all of which offered me the job. During my engineering design role at Marshall Aerospace and Defence Group I use the skills I learnt every day.

My plans for the future are to continue to develop myself as an engineer and to become professionally registered as a chartered engineer through the Royal Aeronautical Society."
