What you need to apply for this course

Typical offer: Introductory Year 0 (UCAS code: H403)

  • Points: 80.
  • Units: to include one A-level or equivalent.
  • Subjects: Mathematics or science subject desirable but not essential.
  • Plus GCSE (A–C): five subjects including English Language and Mathematics, or as an alternative Key Skills Level 2 Communication and/or Application of Number.

Typical offer: Year 1 (UCAS code: H411)

  • 160 points, to include two A-levels or equivalent.
  • A-level mathematics and a suitable science subject required. General studies accepted at half points.
  • BTEC National Diploma or Certificate in engineering or suitable related subjects may satisfy entry requirements provided the student has five GCSEs as below.
  • Plus GCSE (A–C): five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, or as an alternative Key Skills Level 2 Communication and/or Application of Number.
  • Successful completion of an Engineering/Technology Foundation course, or Access to HE course, and an appropriate level of attainment may satisfy entry requirements.
