What you need to apply for this course
Typical offer: foundation degree
- Points: 200
- Units: at least two A-levels or equivalent (General Studies accepted at half points)
- Plus GCSE (A–C): five subjects including English Language and Science at grade C, and Mathematics at grade B
- Please note that the 2 years full-time FdEng is not currently scheduled to run for 2012 entry but should be available for 2013 entry
Typical offer: BSc(Hons) top-up
- Completion of our foundation degree in Aviation Studies
- Direct entry: Holders of the full ATPL licence who also have a foundation degree (or equivalent) will be considered for Advanced Prior Learning (APL) and Advanced Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) for Years 1 and 2 of the foundation degree, enabling direct entry to the BSc(Hons) top-up year.
Deferred applications
Please note that we can only consider UCAS applications made for 2012 entry for this course. If you wish to defer your entry, then you will need to apply during the next application cycle.
International students
All non-UK applicants must meet our English language requirements. For this course it is Academic IELTS of 6.0 overall, with no element below 5.5. Please make sure you read our full guidance about English language requirements, which includes details of other qualifications we'll consider.
Applicants who do not meet the English language requirements may be eligible to join our pre-sessional English language course.
Applicants from one of the recognised Majority English Speaking Countries (MESCs) do not need to meet these requirements.
