About this course
Why choose this course?
Economics is concerned with the production, consumption and distribution of wealth, and aims to explain the reasons for and the consequences of decisions made by individuals, households, firms or governments. This degree focuses on the economic analysis of business activity, developing your knowledge of economic theory and how businesses operate.
What will you study?
In addition to covering core economic and business-focused modules, you will learn to apply your maths and IT skills in a business context. A wide choice of optional subjects in Years 2 and 3 enables you to choose a range of specialist topics, such as the financial aspects of business, international considerations or other contemporary business and development issues. Examples of the modules you will study are outlined below.
