"I came from Pakistan to study here. London, with its multicultural environment, has always been a welcoming place for foreigners. No matter what part of the world you come from, you never feel alienated in London.
"I chose the Business Management course because it offered me the best mix of business disciplines. I didn't want a very specialised undergraduate degree so that I could leave my future options open.
"I applied to a few London universities and selected Kingston as my favourite. I was impressed by the growing reputation of Kingston Business School. In a very short time, Kingston has achieved what many older universities could not. Plus, I was keen to go to a university with a campus environment.
"What I've most enjoyed about the course is the continuous challenge it offers and the sense of achievement you feel having conquered that challenge. One highlight was a project I did for my Marketing Communications module. Five of us had to launch a new product. The entire process – preparing the communications plan, the late nights at the library and the panic when we overshot word limits – was a memorable one. But the most important factor about the classes is the teaching. Kingston has some really great lecturers and I feel it would be a disservice to miss their classes.
"From my experience, there is no comparison between college and university. The level of responsibility changes suddenly. You're no longer spoon-fed information and this usually brings out the best of people. There have been many things that have been tough during the degree. But I have some really helpful tutors and co-operative colleagues, which makes things easier.
"Just before my final year, I got married. My wife is also a Kingston University student. Being married and coming to University together is really unique and enjoyable. It gives a new colour to my life here.
"My main aim after University is to get into an accounting firm and on a training contract to become an ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant). I've taken a number of accounting and finance modules and this has developed my interest in the field.
"My experience of Kingston University has been so great that it's hard to say what's best. One of the best things is that you find such a mix of people, all with different interests and backgrounds. You never feel alone or bored."
