About this course
Why choose this course?
This course balances academic theory and research skills with practical applications. You can choose option modules to either specialise in a particular area or keep your studies general, and the dissertation enables you to research an area of business that you find especially interesting. You can also take a one-year work placement or study exchange.
What will you study?
You will study the principles of economics and how they impact on business; law; and the role of accounting in business reporting and decision-making. You will then explore a range of business functions, including human resource management, marketing and finance.
In your final year, you will focus on strategic issues and research an area of particular interest. You can select your option modules to either specialise in a particular area of business or keep your studies general.
All our business courses have a shared first year so you can easily transfer to the second year of a different course if your interests change.
