Business Studies BA(Hons): Facilities
More about our modern teaching environment
In recent years Kingston University has made major investments in buildings and equipment at the Business School and Law School campus.
Kingston Business School building
Kingston Business School has a brand new £26 million home. The new building boasts a variety of modern teaching rooms.
There are plenty of break-out spaces for staff and students to learn together or read quietly and a light bright airy atrium with sofas and tables and chairs. The variety of learning and studying spaces makes the new Business School both a stimulating and peaceful place to study.
The building brings together all the Business School's tutors, teaching and student facilities together in one building for the first time.
Learning Resources Centre (LRC): The high-tech LRC houses a wide range of resources and services including texts, periodicals, journals and dissertations, audio-visual materials and over 500 study places. Remote access to LRC databases means you can access facilities online from anywhere in the world.
The Learning Resources Centre at the Kingston Hill campus also features a dedicated law library.
We further improved the learning resources centre in 2008 with a £5 million extension. The new Nightingale Centre includes a learning cafe, more PCs and extra study areas.
Computer and online facilities: The LRC and seven laboratories house 250 computer workstations.
Using IT to support your studies is crucial. Kingston has an innovative internet-based interactive learning management system called StudySpace. This allows you to access course materials and contact fellow students and staff while away from the campus.
Study and teaching facilities: As a London university with a quiet secure place to study, a leafy green campus and easy access to the city centre, Kingston provides the best of all worlds for Business School and Law School students.
Students will be able to perfect their trial, mooting and negotiation skills in our new, purpose-built key skills room.
Other campus facilities include:
- free parking;
- tennis courts;
- student shop;
- cashpoint machine;
- health and counselling services;
- sports and recreation societies; and
- career and financial advice.
