This course is ideal if you want to explore the science and technology underpinning communications systems, such as digital interactive television, e-commerce, mobile information links and optical systems.

What will you study?

There are three main strands to the curriculum:

  • communications hardware (electronics and instrumentation);
  • information transfer technology (scripting, programming and multimedia languages for information transfer); and
  • scientific investigation skills (measurement, data analysis, research and planning).
