About this course

Why choose this course?

This course will equip you with the skills to become a specialist in computer image processing. Digital imaging is a growing field in which computers are used to capture, store and process digital images from sources such as security cameras, medical scanners and remote-sensing satellites. Our internationally recognised research in digital imaging makes Kingston an excellent choice for study in this field.

What will you study?

Our single honours computing courses have a shared first year, which means it's possible to change course once you've found what really suits you. Your specialist computer graphics and digital imaging studies in Years 2 and 3 progress from the fundamentals of digital imaging to in-depth subjects such as the use of computer vision solutions to solve business problems. You can choose to work in industry for a year between Years 2 and 3.
