Computing HND: After completing the HND

Once you successfully complete your HND, you can join the second year of a relevant BSc(Hons) computing degree at Kingston University. Usually, more than half of our diplomates take this route, with most choosing a degree at Kingston University.

High-achieving students may be able to transfer to the third year of a BSc(Hons) degree once they complete the HND. To do this, you will need to complete a four-week 'top-up' course before joining Year 3. In exceptional cases, it is possible to transfer after the first year of the HND into the second year of the BSc.

Alternatively, you could go straight into work at technician level within specialist computing companies or general organisations. Diplomates in recent years have gained first jobs such as technical assurance agent, computer programmer and Microsoft-certified engineer.
