About this course

Why choose this course?

This flexible non-honours degree course is designed for students who do not meet the entry requirements for an honours degree. It runs at a slower pace in order to build up your confidence in higher-level education. Each stage may take longer than an academic year, but the course builds into a degree over three years. You may be able to transfer to an honours degree, subject to your performance.

What will you study?

Core subjects in programming, systems analysis and design, networking, databases and information system environments are covered in Years 1 and 2, during which you can choose some modules to meet your own personal preferences. In Year 3 all the modules are optional, so you can develop your preferences and specialise in areas such as web development, networking or e-commerce.
