Radiography: Diagnostic Radiography BSc(Hons): Links with the health sector

How we work with the NHS

We work closely with a large number of local NHS Trusts to deliver a high quality and appropriate clinical education. Students are closely involved with the diagnosis and treatment of patients to maintain their clinical competency and to keep them up to date with current practices.

Clinical placements

Clinical placements are an essential part of your Radiography degree course, enabling you to gain hands-on experience of working with real patients.

Students are well supported by both academic and clinical staff during their placements to maximise the benefits they gain from the experience.  Clinical staff at the placement sites work with academic staff to monitor students' final year projects.

We have established teaching arrangements with a number of leading, specialist clinical sites where you will undertake your placement. These include:

  • Chelsea & Westminster NHS Trust, London;
  • Epsom and St Helier NHS Trust, Carshalton, London;
