About this course
Why choose this course?
This degree focuses on the way language and communication work in the real world. You will explore how language is used in society; for example, in the workplace and in the media. This course will develop your ability to weigh up issues and analyse problems relating to language and communication in contemporary society.

What will you study?
You will be introduced to the role and function of language in relation to other forms of communication. You will examine how different systems of communication work in the real world, and develop your ability to think and write critically. You will discover how we make sense of the world through language, and explore the interaction between communication and society.
