Name: Clare Tomes
Course: BA(Hons) (Applied) English Language and Linguistics (course renamed English Language and Communication in 2004)
"I am extremely pleased that I chose to study English Language and Communication at Kingston University. I wanted to choose a subject that would open up exciting career prospects and this degree certainly has done this.
"My passion for the subject, the modules offered, and the great teaching staff allowed me to achieve a First Class classification. The broad range of modules in the course, combined with the commitment of the tutors is something which contributes to the success of this degree. Without having done the English Language and Linguistics/English Language and Communication degree, I would not have been able to pursue my ambition to start a career in the publishing industry. This is something that has been possible, via the MA in Publishing that Kingston University also offers.
"I would highly recommend choosing the BA in English Language and Communication as it will provide you with many exciting opportunities."
