English Literature BA(Hons): Events and lectures

Extra activities for this course

English literature students can take part in a wide range of activities on campus. Each week you'll find something going on from a Cultural Histories lecture, a Kingston Writing School reading, a Centre for Modern and European Philosophy debate, or a student theatre production.

English Literature students enjoy a field trip to Florence for the Images of Love and Sex in Medieval Europe special studyMost modules include extra-curricular activities like field trips to London and beyond. Recently students have visited the Globe Theatre and even travelled to Florence (see right) (for students on the Special Study Module: Images of Love and Sex in Medieval Europe).

English literature students are also encouraged to participate in the annual Awards and Achievement Show through debates and presentations of their work. The event offers prizes for outstanding academic achievements and contributions to the wider classroom experience.
