Students from Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland

The package of funding available to students from other parts of the UK is slightly different. Please visit the relevant authority for more information:

European Union students

Students from other EU countries who have been resident in the UK for at least five years prior to the start of the course are eligible for tuition and maintenance loans and should apply to Student Finance England.

Other EU students can apply to the Student Finance England European Team for a tuition fee loan only. You will need to make sure you have adequate funds to support your living expenses.

Additional costs

Students are supplied with materials that are adequate to fulfil the requirements of each module, so no further costs are required to successfully complete the work required for assessment. Where ever possible we aim to support new students with course-related equipment costs. For example, this year new students received an induction pack that includes lab coats and calculators and engineering students received vouchers for the costs towards the purchase of safety boots.

Any compulsory field trip cost is covered by the University. On occasion optional field trips are offered to students and it is expected that students will cover these costs. The University strives to keep these costs to a minimum.

In addition to these course-specific additional costs, it is likely that you may incur extra costs as a student at Kingston University. It is useful for you to be aware of the types of things you may have to pay for. Find out more.
