About this course
Why choose this course?
This course will enable you to explore and develop your own style of filmmaking while acquiring the skills needed to work professionally in the sector. It will help you to engage with innovative, ambitious ideas to be developed into films using high production values, including everything from documentary and fiction through to artists' film and experimental work.
What will you study?
This course is broad based with an exploratory approach. You will learn about a range of possibilities for the planning, production, post-production and presentation of your creative and ambitious ideas, gaining an insight into the increasingly diverse platforms for moving-image production and dissemination.
Teaching will include approaches to documentary, fiction, direction, editing, studio and location work, film contextualisation and combined approaches to all of these, along with building an informed understanding of the relationship between sound, image, text and context.
