About this course
Why choose this course?
Economics is concerned with the production, consumption and distribution of wealth, and aims to explain the reasons for and consequences of decisions made by individuals, households, firms or governments. This degree focuses on the economic analysis of finance, developing your awareness of the interplay and impact of financial markets, financial instruments and institutions.
What will you study?
You will study core micro- and macroeconomic concepts, together with mathematics and statistics. You will apply your IT and numeric skills to practical problems; examine the theory, policy and institutions that constitute the rapidly changing world of international finance; and focus on accounting, corporate finance and financial risk management. Examples of the modules you will study are outlined below.
