Financial Economics BSc(Hons): Course features

What this course offers you

This course allows you to study economics with a specific focus on domestic and global finance. You will develop your awareness of the interplay of financial markets, financial instruments and institutions, along with their impact on the domestic and global economy.
The course will enhance your understanding of the real world by developing appropriate theories. You'll explore why people make the decisions that they do and what the consequences of those decisions are.
You will also investigate the economic role of institutions, such as markets, productive enterprises, households and government; and use quantitative methods to increase the precision of logical analysis.

We scored high marks for economics teaching in official inspections carried out by the Government's Quality Assurance Agency.
Work is assessed through both examination and coursework, depending on the module.
