History BA(Hons): History conference for schools

Here at Kingston we have strong links with local secondary schools.

On 4 July 2006, we organised a history conference for schools.  It was attended by year 10 groups from Coombe Girls School and Coombe Boys School. Dr Christopher French, Annie Sullivan, Jeremy Nuttall and Senan Fox presented a programme based on History From Different Perspectives; Approaches to Social History; Sources and Resources; The Skills of the Historian; and the Kingston University History Student Experience.

It was a lively and energetic event with lots of interaction from the students and one that we hope to continue on an annual basis.
