About this course
Why choose this course?
This two-year route of our LLB course is designed for graduates of non-law subjects who wish to follow a career in the legal profession. Students who obtain at least an upper second-class degree are guaranteed places in the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, provided they select the College as their first choice.
The Law Senior Status LLB(Hons) course differs from our one-year Postgraduate Diploma in Law ('conversion course') in that it offers a qualifying law degree.
What will you study?
At the core of every LLB degree are the 'foundations of legal knowledge' required by the legal professional bodies. These comprise contract law, tort law, criminal law, equity and the law of trusts, European law, property law and public law.
You will also learn skills such as case reading, research, the use of law libraries and IT. The remainder of your degree will be made up of option modules.
