What this course offers you
- Mechanical Engineering is the broadest engineering discipline at the University. It looks at the design and manufacture of a range of mechanical products and systems, giving you the flexibility to specialise later.
- Our fully-equipped labs mean you can put the theory into practice. Equipment includes:
- computer-aided design tools; and
- robotics, manufacturing and testing equipment.
- Reducing concept to market time is an important factor in industry, so students with simulation skills are highly employable. We therefore give you exposure to computer-aided engineering.
- We have good links with industry, which can help you gain an industrial work placement in your third year.
- Language tuition is available and you can also choose to go on an international exchange.
