Medical Technologies FdSc: Entry requirements
What you need to apply for this course
Applicants should already be working in a trainee medical technologist role and either:
- working towards or holding NVQ Level 3 with English and Maths at GCSE grade C or higher, or equivalent; or
- hold NVQ Level 2 in a related subject with clinical experience documented in a portfolio with English and Maths at GCSE grade C or higher, or equivalent; or
- be able to demonstrate a portfolio of relevant documented experience.
Other entry routes
We will consider a range of alternative qualifications or experience equivalent to the typical offer. We welcome applications from international students with equivalent qualifications. Please contact us for details.
International students
All non-UK applicants must meet our English language requirements. For this course it is Academic IELTS of 6.0 overall, with no element below 5.5. Please make sure you read our full guidance about English language requirements, which includes details of other qualifications we'll consider.
Applicants who do not meet the English language requirements may be eligible to join our pre-sessional English language course.
Applicants from one of the recognised Majority English Speaking Countries (MESCs) do not need to meet these requirements.
