Typical offer

A-levels

  • 3 A-levels at grades BBB (300 UCAS tariff points)
  • An A-level in a science subject is preferred

Other suitable qualifications:

A wide range of other qualifications may be considered on an individual basis, such as:

  • Science or health-based Access Course (Access Diploma with 45 level 3 credits and 15 level 2 credits of which 36 of the level 3 credits should be at Merit)
  • BTEC National Diploma in a health-related subject (DDM 320–DMM 280 tariff points)
  • HNC/HND
  • International Baccalaureate
  • Irish Leaving Certificate
  • Scottish qualifications

All candidates require:

GCSEs at A–C grades (or equivalent) in English Language, Science and Mathematics.  [Access courses include these as part of the access course].

Other entry requirements:

Admission to the programme is subject to the criteria set by the NMC and NHS. All programmes and numbers of places are commissioned by the local Strategic Health Authority, NHS London. Wherever possible candidates are encouraged to gain practical work experience in a care setting prior to undertaking the programme and should demonstrate evidence of study within previous five years.

Our selection process includes an interview, occupational health clearance and a CRB enhanced disclosure check.

NB: We are unable to consider students who are not eligible for a Department of Health bursary for this programme.
