Typical offer
Points: 240 from:
- A-level: science or health-related subject preferred. Grades CCC. General Studies not normally accepted.
- BTEC National Diploma: Science or Health Studies. Merit Merit Merit.
- Science or health-based Access to HE course: Access Diploma with 45 level 3 credits and 15 level 2 credits of which 21 of the level 3 credits should be at Merit.
- Key Skills: points not normally accepted in tariff.
- Plus GCSE (A–C): five subjects including English language, mathematics and a science.
In exceptional circumstances, candidates may be considered with 200 points from 2 A-levels/VCE Double Award/six unit awards (grades BB).
Non-native speakers who do not have the equivalent of GCSE English at grade C (eg Key Skills Level 2 Literacy) require an IELTS score of 7.0 or equivalent.
Due to the nature of this course, you must also show an insight into nursing and motivation to study nursing. We prefer you to have visited clinical departments to observe the work undertaken by nurses.

Selection process
Our selection process includes an interview and both Numeracy and Literacy tests, to be sat on the selection day. Admission is subject to Occupational Health screening and CRB enhanced disclosure check.
NB: We are unable to consider students who are not eligible for a Department of Health bursary for this programme.
