"I chose nursing because it is a dynamic and varied profession, which is also rewarding.
"My time at Kingston University has been a learning curve for me, as I have developed both academically and as an individual. I have had the opportunity to meet, study and socialise with fellow students from diverse backgrounds and have formed many strong friendships along the way.
"I have been fortunate to undertake clinical placements in a variety of settings (community and ward based), specialities (medical, surgical and orthopaedic) and ranches of nursing (mental health and child). This has provided me with an excellent and diverse platform of experience, and has put me in good stance for considering my options once qualified.
"Before enrolling on this course, I had no previous experience of working in healthcare and I was quite apprehensive when my first placement was approaching. However, when I now reflect back and see how much my practical skills have developed, the knowledge that I have gained and my progress through the degree programme, I feel a great sense of achievement.
"You really do get as much out of the course as you put in. It is intense and hard work, but it is worth it!"
