About this course
Why choose this course?
Pharmaceutical science covers the design and development of new drugs for clinical purposes. It explores the different sources of medicine, how they work and how they can be formulated (eg tablet, cream, inhaler), analysed and tested. This four-year route is ideal if you see yourself as a research scientist.
What will you study?
The first two years of the course are shared with the BSc(Hons) programme – see below. Your studies will then become more research-focused, helping you develop your laboratory, analytical and problem-solving skills. You will also study advanced masters-level modules.
