As a result of the recent NHS London tender process the Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences has been awarded preferred bidder status for the Physiotherapy BSc(Hons) programme for September 2012 entry.  Applications are being processed as normal and offers will be made from the beginning of April 2012.

Why choose this course?

This degree, awarded by the University of London, provides the theoretical knowledge and practical experience you will need for a career as a physiotherapist. Once you successfully complete the course you will be eligible for membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and for registration with the Health Professions Council.

What will you study?

You will gain the knowledge and skills necessary for clinical practice, developing assessment and treatment skills. You will study the relevant concepts, principles and theories of anatomy, physiology, movement studies, therapeutic exercise, electrophysical modalities and health promotion. You will develop clinical reasoning and critical evaluation in relation to current practice. Clinical work placements enable you to explore and integrate your knowledge and skills.

  • The module aims to introduce students to working and learning with each other. The module teaches the foundation skills for professional practice such as communication skills alongside relevant anatomy and clinical sciences relevant to all students. In this module you will be learning alongside other healthcare students (medicine, diagnostic and therapeutic radiography and biomedical science).
