Physiotherapy BSc(Hons): After you graduate
What our graduates say
Check out what our graduates have gone on to do and how studying at Kingston helped them achieve their goals.
Name: Amanda
Age: 32
Course studied: Physiotherapy BSc(Hons)
Year graduated: 2005
"I am the first person in my family to get a degree, and also the first out of my circle of friends. I am from a working-class background and although I always wanted to be a physiotherapist, I never really believed it was possible for someone like me. But here I am, degree-educated, with confidence in my ability to achieve all that I want and about to embark upon a career that will not only be fulfilling but also enjoyable.
"This has been a life-changing experience not only for me, but also for many other people around me. It would not have been possible without the support and excellent teaching I received during my time at St George's, University of London. I started out getting marks between 40% and 50%, but my final essay received a mark of 70%. I believe this reflects not only the standard of teaching you have at St George's, but also the level of support you receive."
Name: Michelle Lamb
Current job: Junior Physiotherapist
Course studied: Physiotherapy BSc(Hons)
"Working as a junior physiotherapist presents days full of new challenges and problems to find solutions to. Studying at the Faculty of Health and Social Care Sciences has helped me prepare and equip for this by providing a supportive and friendly atmosphere in which to develop and learn.
"It also allowed me to develop both social and professional relationships with other healthcare professionals throughout my training, which made the transition into the NHS team an easy one."
