Physiotherapy BSc(Hons): Recognition and accreditation

How we work with professional bodies

Graduates must apply for registration with the Health Professions Council, which provides a 'license to practice', without which you cannot practice. The University of London degree is accredited by the HPC. An accredited degree enables you to apply for registration with the HPC.

This University of London degree is also accredited by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), the professional body for physiotherapists. An accredited degree enables you to apply for membership of the CSP. The benefits of this include:

  • The only way to gain chartered access;
  • access to the support provided by the CSP;
  • access to the latest physiotherapy news, features and jobs via the society's bimonthly magazine;
  • peer support from thousands of physiotherapists on ‘Interactive CSP', a dedicated online communication network;
  • representation through a network of specially trained student reps and co-ordination to ensure that your voice is heard;
  • resources and tools to support your continuing professional development and
  • a monthly professional journal.
