Sport Coaching FdSc: After you graduate

Careers and progression

Preparation for work is an integral part of the Sport Coaching FdSc. The programme has been designed to enable you to develop your employability skills to support progression and success in a competitive economy.

All students are encouraged to gain sport-related vocational experience throughout the degree and are actively encouraged to gain additional continual professional development courses such as NGB coaching awards and Register for Exercise Professionals (REPs) accreditation courses. During the programme you will have gained a proficient knowledge of high-level laboratory equipment and sport analysis software that will enhance employment and lifelong learning opportunities in this area.

The Sport Coaching FdSc will empower you with the skills and knowledge to engage in a number of career pathways both within sport and coaching. Through the development of coaching specific and key and transferable skill sets, graduates will be able to pursue careers in coaching, sport science support, health and fitness industry and further education to name but a few.
