Course: Dance with Drama
Level: Final Year
Hometown: Nottingham
Other information: I came to Kingston straight from college. I am a member of the cheerleading society, snowsports society and am also a Kingston University Student Ambassador.
I chose Kingston because... it was one of the few universities where I could combine my interests of Dance and Drama. When I visited Kingston for my audition, met my lecturers, and had a tour of the campus and Kingston river side; I immediately felt comfortable and knew it was the right choice for me.
I have got to where I am now.... I worked hard to achieve above what people expected of me (I was predicted C's in my A Levels and finished with three A's!). I was strongly influenced by my dance and theatre teacher, working hard in my studies and practical dance and drama skills in order to ensure that I was ready to apply to university and undertake my auditions.
My plans for the future are... Next year I hope to undertake a PGCE in either dance or drama, or travel.

What I have been up to today!

A typical day for me includes either practical lessons or lectures, followed by rehearsals or seminars. If I have time off in the day it's either spent in the library or at extra rehearsals. In the early evening I have extra cirricular classes on my course, for example; Zumba, then I could have Cheerleading training, work, and finally home for dinner!
My diary! I would never know where I'm supposed to be without it. After that, my housemates. They are the best stress relief around!
Going out with friends, reading (ok I'm a geek I admit it!).
"Take your time with your personal statement to make sure you come across as the individual that you are, and show that you are passionate for your chosen subject."
"I applied for a variety of different courses including single subjects, combinations and performing arts (combining both dance and drama). I did this because I was unsure and each course had different modules which interested me."
"UCAS takes a lonnnnng time but be thorough,it'll be worth it in the end!"
