Clearing is a way to match students who don't have a university place with universities who have course places available. It's an ideal way for you to find a course if:

Clearing is available from Friday 1 July and helps applicants who have their exam results find a suitable course if they're not already holding any offers.
Applicants can use the UCAS Clearing Vacancy Search to identify courses that may suit them and then contact the university directly to find out if they are suitable for the course and if the university can offer them a place.
All courses that have availability will go into Clearing. You will be able to find details of all courses which have places available in Clearing by visiting the UCAS website or looking at university websites. On A-level results day on Thursday 18 August, The Telegraph newspaper also supplies full Clearing course listings.
