This module introduces you to the basic skills needed to:

• pursue your individual creative process and
• develop a methodology for gathering, assimilating and utilising visual information.

The module will:

• introduce the studio as your working and interactive environment;
• give you the contextual background needed to support your individual practice;
• introduce you to the course assessment criteria and strategies; and
• promote your awareness of the intellectual, social, historical and political context of contemporary art.
