Gain real legal experience and help the community

The Community Legal Advice Centre, run by the Law department, allows students to gain valuable skills, enhance their CVs and learn first-hand about community legal cases. It offers free legal advice to individuals, charities and businesses in the community.

Our established partnership with the Home Office's Legal department offers our law students professional experience through a year-long paid work placement. Our thriving relationship with the National Centre for Domestic Violence has resulted in 25 law students working as domestic violence case workers.

Skills-based competitions

Skills-based competitions

Law students can take part in numerous skills-based competitions like the International Criminal Court Moot in The Hague, the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, and the Model United Nations in New York.
