Business and enterprise case study

Adanna Welch and Diana LoDiana Lo, Adanna Welch and Fahah Henry have started a successful jewellery business as part of a hands-on enterprise module.

Kingston's enterprise module gives business students the chance to start up and run a small business. Volunteer mentors, including Peter Grender from Smiths Salt and Shake Crisps, gave Diana, Adanna and Fatah extra support and guidance.

The business, called Trinity, aims to offer stylish jewellery at low prices. It trades at craft fairs and fitness centres around the area.

Diana is studying Sports Science with Business; Adanna is studying GIS with Business; and Fatah is studying Business and Psychology.

"Although this module takes a lot of time, commitment and dedication,
it has given us a chance to develop skills and gain knowledge aboutbusiness that no other module could teach us."
