Kingston nightlife: bars, clubs and pubs

Bars and pubs

Eating out in KingstonIn Kingston you can have a good night out without going out of pocket. Pubs and bars popular with students include some locals – The Ram, The Mill and The Kings Tun or some familiar favourites such as the Slug and Lettuce. Students can also enjoy Las Iguanas, Barcadia and The Library offering drinks deals, DJ sets and dance space.

During Freshers' Week you'll have the perfect opportunity to sample Kingston's big but budget-friendly nightlife. In the week many bars and clubs offer great student promotions with discounts, free stuff and VIP passes.

Nightclubs and music venues

Out dancingPryzm (formerly Oceana) hosts the popular student night KLAAS in session, with different rooms and music for you to dance to.

Bacchus is another favourite with themed nights ranging from indie and rock to punk and emo.

The Hippodrome hosts live bands, new artists and a prog rock festival every year.

Banquet Records has everything you're looking for in any genre, and they host regular performances of up and coming artists.

The Fighting Cocks bar and music venue is for alternative music fans to come and listen to both undiscovered and established acts.

If you're up for more of a quiet night, why not go for a delicious dinner at one of Kingston's restaurants or head to the Rotunda to watch a film or go bowling.
