Your tutors
Our teaching staff will help you reach your full potential.
Real-world expertise
Many tutors feed knowledge from industry or the professions into their teaching. For example:
- Sir Peter Hall, who founded the Royal Shakespeare Company and is Chancellor of the University, has led master classes for drama students;
- journalism tutor Mary Braid covered everything from the tragedy at Dunblane to the aftermath of the Rwandan genocide in her 11 years at the Independent as reporter, feature writer and Africa correspondent; and
- forensic archaeologist Layla Renshaw, who lectures on our forensic science degree, helped the United Nations investigate the atrocities in Kosovo.
