Learning resources centre at Kingston HillOur learning resource centres (LRCs) are located at all four campuses, offering an extensive range of sources and digital library services. LRCs are quiet, comfortable and accessible areas for you to study with prime computer facilities, fast WiFi access, reference materials and even special archives. To ensure that you can use the space and services whenever you need to, all LRCs have long opening hours, and the LRCs at Kingston Hill and Penrhyn Road campuses are open 24 hours a day during term time.

Library services

Learning resources centre at Knights ParkResearching a project or putting the finishing touches to your coursework? Our library resources include more than 380,000 books and audiovisual materials, 300,000 e-books and 53,000 electronic and print journals (and anything you can't find can usually be sourced from another library). The resources at each campus also match the subjects studied there.

Computing labs

Computer labsKingston University boasts extensive computing facilities. Students can choose from more than 3,000 networked computers available across the University, with free internet, email and superfast WiFi access for mobile devices.

There are dedicated computing labs for the subjects offered on each campus. These include specialist hardware and software for PCs and Macs, along with helpful training sessions. You can also access files, software and printers from any device, even when you're off campus.

Online resources

Business School computer roomWhile studying at Kingston University, you will have access to Canvas – a virtual learning environment. Canvas offers a wealth of learning and teaching resources, multimedia material, discussion boards, video conferencing facilities, wikis and blogs. You'll also be able to create your own profile, networks and groups to collaborate on projects.

Our student intranet, is the hub for information on student life at Kingston University. Everything you need to know from the everyday to the extracurricular can be found on this site. It can really help with getting your bearings in the first few weeks and keeping you up-to-date during your studies.

Archives and special collections

Our archives and special collections were established in 2004, to support the teaching and research at Kingston University. The archive now holds thousands of items on subjects like literature, theatre and publishing. It contains key documents on 20th-century Balkan history and the history of Kingston University. There are also major collections relating to renowned authors and philosophers such as Iris Murdoch, theatre critic Sheridan Morley and the Stephen Sondheim Society.
