Coombehurst House

Coombehurst House, a Regency mansion on Kingston Hill, is home to our music students. The attractive and characterful setting combines old and new architecture with spacious lawns.

The department is well equipped with pianos and percussion and a wide range of ethnic and classroom instruments. We also have an extensive selection of amplification and performance support equipment and a large collection of scores and sheet music.

Students can also use our computer and electronic equipment, including specialist networked facilities, with related musical software and a full range of keyboards and sequencing workstations.

Nearby Coombehurst Court houses extra teaching and practice rooms, and Coombehurst Lodge has two small recording studios with associated live room/vocal booth. Coombehurst Studio is a rehearsal and teaching space with a professionally equipped recording studio. Many commercial recordings have been made in this studio which was completely re-equipped in 2010 and is regularly upgraded to the highest standards.
