Coombehurst House

Music studentsCoombehurst House, an attractive Regency mansion on Kingston Hill, is home to our music students. The peaceful setting combines old and new architecture with spacious lawns.

Our collection of musical instruments includes 30 pianos, a harpsichord and an extensive range of orchestral, classroom, early and electronic instruments. We also have a large collection of non-Western instruments, such as a full Javanese gamelan and a set of djembe drums.

Music studentsStudents can use our extensive range of computer and electronic equipment, including specialist networked facilities, with related musical software and a range of keyboards andsequencing workstations.

Nearby Coombehurst Court houses extra teaching and practice rooms, and Coombehurst Lodge has two small recording studios with associated live room/vocal booth. Coombehurst Studio is a rehearsal and recording centre containing an acoustically-designed performing hall for orchestral work and a professional-standard 48-track recording studio.
