About
An environmental economist, I apply applied econometric and microeconomic methods to investigate issues on climate and energy policy and sustainable development related issues. My recent research has been published by Nature Climate Change, NBER, Environmental & Resource Economics, Land Economics, World Development, and Ecological Economics, among others.
I supervise PhD theses on environmental and development economics (completed: 1, on-going: 2). I currently serve as the director of postgraduate research in economics. Please get in touch at [email protected] if you have a question about Economics PhD program at Kingston.
My external research affiliations include visiting fellow with Grantham Research Institute at LSE, research associate with CAMA at Australian National University, non-resident fellow with CDES at Monash University, and courtesy research assistant professor at Florida Int'l University. In the past, I worked at the London School of Economics and the University of Dhaka. I also consulted for many international organizations including the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.

My current teaching includes microeconomics, industrial economics, development economics and applied econometrics. I also serve as an external examiner at the University of Chichester.
I supervise undergraduate dissertations, MA/MS/MSc dissertations and PhD theses on environmental and development economics.
