Mr Adam Ainsworth

The current focus of both my teaching and my research is popular performance. I currently lead modules exploring commedia dell' arte, clown, cabaret, music hall and stand-up comedy among other forms. I have co-edited and contributed a chapter to Popular Performance (Bloomsbury) and co-edited a special edition of theTheatre, Dance and Performance Training journal (Taylor and Francis) focusing on training the popular performer. Both will be published in 2017.
