The ceremonies

Your graduation ceremony takes place at the Rose Theatre in Kingston. The ceremony itself will last approximately one hour and 15 minutes, but times do vary. Read our frequently asked questions the ceremonies.

During the ceremony, your name will be announced when you are about to cross the stage. If you want to change how your name is read out or if it is often pronounced incorrectly get in touch with us at graduations@kingston.ac.uk by Thursday 28 November so we can try to help.

When the ceremonies take place

  • You will receive an invitation email from the graduations team confirming the date and time of your graduation ceremony. You are advised not to make any travel or accommodation arrangements until you have received this email. The University cannot be held liable for any costs incurred for travel or accommodation.
  • Monday 13 Friday 17 January 2020: All undergraduates and postgraduates who receive their results by Thursday 28 November 2019.
  • There are exceptions, so you are advised to wait until you have received your invitation email.

Faculty of Business and Social Sciences

To attend your ceremony you must have your award agreed by 28 November 2019. You will not be able to book for a ceremony until you have received an invitation email. Please note when you log into OSIS you will see which ceremony you have been allocated. It is not possible to swap to another ceremony. You will be allocated to a ceremony based on the department your course belongs in. If you are unsure about this, you can contact the faculty student office or log in to OSIS to check when your ceremony is.

Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education

To attend your ceremony you must have your Kingston University award agreed by 28 November 2019. You will not be able to book for a ceremony until you have received an invitation email. Please note when you log into OSIS you will see which ceremony you have been allocated. It is not possible to swap to another ceremony. You will be allocated to a ceremony based on the department your course belongs in. If you are unsure about this, you can contact the faculty student office or log in to OSIS to check when your ceremony is.
