The ceremonies

Your graduation ceremony takes place at the Rose Theatre in Kingston. The ceremony itself will last approximately one hour and 15 minutes, but times do vary.

When the ceremonies take place

  • You will receive an invitation email from the graduations team confirming the date and time of your graduation ceremony. You are advised not to make any travel or accommodation arrangements until you have received this email. The University cannot be held liable for any costs incurred for travel or accommodation.
  • Wednesday 9 - Friday 11 January 2019: All postgraduates, and undergraduates who received their results in September 2018.
  • There are exceptions, so you are advised to wait until you have received your invitation email.

January 2019 ceremonies

Our ceremonies are arranged by faculty:

Faculty of Business and Social Sciences

You will not be able to book for a ceremony until you have received an invitation email. Please note when you log into OSIS you will see which ceremony you have been allocated. It is not possible to swap to another ceremony. If you are on a joint course, you will be allocated to the ceremony for the subject that is listed first on your course title, eg Media & Cultural Studies and Politics would be graduating with Media & Cultural Studies.

Faculty of Science, Engineering and Computing

You will not be able to book for a ceremony until you have received an invitation email. Please note when you log into OSIS you will see which ceremony you have been allocated. It is not possible to swap to another ceremony. If you are on a joint course, you will be allocated to the ceremony for the subject that is listed first on your course title, eg Biochemistry and Nutrition would be graduating with Biochemistry.
