If you are curious about starting a business or already running one, interested in self-employment, entrepreneurship or social enterprise then this four week short-course will help you develop all the knowledge and skills you need.

Who is it for?

Any student (or graduate) with an interest in innovation, entrepreneurship or self-employment. The ideas you present do not have to be related to your course of study.

Course structure

Week 1: To succeed as an entrepreneur... know your customer!

What problem are you solving? Know your customer needs and put them at the centre of your business!

Week 2: To succeed in business... understand how to build a brand!

Learn how to create a compelling identity that engages, excites and entertains.

Week 3: Business Finances: understanding the numbers

So you have an idea? What are the key financial statements you need and how do you prepare them to ensure your business is going to make money.

Week 4: How do I sell it? Learn marketing and sales skills that you can apply to anything

Get the word out! The heart of your business success lies in its marketing. What is the best way to get your message out there?
