The placement offers Kingston students 'real world' exposure to work which provides huge benefits to the student, by enhancing their employability skills. An internship allows you to hire a student for a more flexible period. It often caters for short-term, intermittent, or project-based business need. This mutually beneficial approach to work is cost effective and flexible for the employer, while also offering vital exposure to specific sectors of interest for Kingston students.
We can advertise your part-time vacancies for free to thousands of Kingston students. Kingston has a high proportion of commuter students when compared to other universities, so please take advantage of our ready-made commuters, who are highly motivated to start work.

Broadening Horizons is a student consultancy programme run by the Kingston Careers and Employability Service. The project runs twice each academic year for 6 weeks from:
Each student is allocated 45 hours for the project.
Any business can be involved. The funding for a project will depend on the size of the business.
A business will need to design a brief around one of the six themes:
Broadening Horizons is designed to support small businesses on a range of solutions-focused projects. The aim is to provide companies with research, insights and recommendations that will support everyday operation or assist growth.
The programme provides organisations with the opportunity to commission a group of Kingston students to work on a project brief for a duration of 45 hours. Not only will you get the chance to work with a group of talented students, but at the end of the project they will produce a confidential report with their findings.
Express an interest for your business to take part in Broadening Horizons.
Kingston University Careers and Employability Service will be in contact with you after you have expressed an interest in supporting Broadening Horizons 2020/2021.
