Third International Conference on Interactivity, Language and Cognition: the tactility of thinking and talking

Traditional explorations and explanations of language and thought lean heavily on the individual and postulated processes within the individual. This form of methodological individualism deflects attention away from the ecosystems within which language and thinking emerge through the interactivity that couples agents to their social and physical environments.

The theme of CILC2016 is the Tactility of Thinking and Talking: the transactional weaving of people, things, and words that reflects a coordination at different time scales and from which language and cognition emerge.

We invite researchers from fields such as psychology, philosophy, cognitive archaeology, semiotics, applied and theoretical linguistics, communication, business and education to present papers on the windows ecosystems offer on languaging and thinking.
